Common faults and analysis of screw air compressors

Screw air compressor is a mechanical equipment used in industry, which operates using a screw unit. Screw air compressor is a machine used to collect and compress natural atmosphere, as gas is commonly used in industrial technology industries for operation or compression.

Common faults and analysis methods of screw air compressors:

1、 The outlet temperature or exhaust temperature of the compressor head is high

Excessive temperature rise is a common fault during the operation of screw air compressors. Screw air compressors often operate at high temperatures, which can seriously affect the exhaust capacity and service life of the machine. When the temperature rise is too high, a high-temperature shutdown fault may occur. The reasons are:

1. Temperature sensor malfunction. A temperature sensor malfunction can cause the PLC to falsely report a high temperature, resulting in shutdown.

2. Environmental temperature factors. The outlet temperature of the screw air compressor head is generally set at around 110 ℃, while the outlet temperature of the head is equal to the ambient temperature plus 60 ℃. The ventilation environment under the pit is poor, and most high temperatures are caused by this.

3. Oil filter malfunction. Oil filters are used to filter dust and impurities in oil circuits. After a period of use, they are prone to clogging, which can cause poor oil return and high engine temperature. (Often appearing at the moment of loading)

2、 High fuel consumption of compressor

1. Is the oil content in the condensate discharged from the drain valve high? If so, check the leakage point inside the unit and eliminate it; Check if the oil level of the compressor is too high, if so, lower the oil level.

2. Is the opening pressure of the small pressure valve normal? If so, troubleshoot and it is necessary to replace the valve; Check if the return pipe is blocked, if so, clean or replace the return pipe.

3. Replace the oil separator core.
